New PUBG map Taego announced for July

PUBG will get a new map next month and will be returning in a bigger size as compared to the previous game. The new map is called Taego and will be the 8 to be added to the game.

Formerly known as codename: Tiger, see the return of the 8x8 km² map and it will appear on PC on July 7th while it will land on consoles on July 15th.

This is the first map in three years to support this larger scale that has not been seen since the desert-themed Miramar map was released. Since then, the game has mainly added smaller maps. Fans long to get back on the beat and scale the first cards and it looks like they will be rewarded.

In the trailer preview, we briefly see the design, which appears to consist of a smaller island off the coast of a larger landmass. Taego is founded in Korea and pays tribute to the game's parent company.

The new map should appeal to older fans of the PUBG formula, which as development has focused more and more on faster gameplay, with the smaller maps requiring players to meet more often and take part in more shootouts.

The game moved away from the slower pace that made it famous. With the ongoing firefights, PUBG lost some of the buzzes that came with quieter downtime during games.

The  refocuse towards larger cards of the game is no exception. The developers have already announced Codename: Kiki, another 8x8 card coming to Taego. A specific release date has not been announced, but it is currently expected to release in 2021 or early 2022.

There are also several games made by PUBG Corp. One announced title is The Calisto Protocol, a horror game from the creators of Dead Space that is reportedly related to PUBG, but there have also been job listings suggesting another unannounced title for the game. Developer. is supposed to be a science fiction shooter with monsters and mechs.

If there are any changes coming to PUBG. It will be posted on the game's test servers before it goes live, it's likely that Taego will be showing up for a round of game testing soon. on PUBG website and channels
